EcoSee (eek-O See)- What's In a Name:
To perceive with the eye, view, or comprehend the relationships between organisms and their environment. To record, by photograph, one's visual and cognitive perception of his or her biological world.
EcoSee.com will now be offering photographers a way to professionally display their photos on their very own websites with just a few clicks and no programming knowledge necessary. Users can choose (and alternate) from over 50 layouts. And with this service, we focus on producing the websites leaving photographers with more time for enjoying their art. EcoSee Photography is my personal photography website that is using this powerful platform to automate the layout of this website. I simply upload the photos and the software does the rest.
Now the other side of the technology: the world wide web. EcoSee.com runs our own servers that reside in a multimillion dollar, climate controlled, 24 hour supervised, tier one telecom facility. Based out of Portland, Oregon, we operate our server, storage and networking equipment within Time Warner Telecom and LightPoint Communications' state of the art datacenters. The servers connect to the web using a quadruple reduntant OC-48 Backbone. What does that mean to you. Speed and Reliability.
To quote the developers' "Pixelpost is an open-source, standards-compliant, multi-lingual, fully extensible photoblog application for the web. It's perfect for anyone wishing to regularly post their photos on the web like a blog." The pixelpost team has written a detailed explanation of how to setup the MySQL database and perform a full system installation for those who are technically inclined. Pixelpost has been released under the GPL and the source code is available upon request. You can also download the original source code directly from their site. For further details please visit them on the web at Pixelpost.org
Many Thanks to Pixelpost Developer Jay Williams for allowing EcoSee to customize his Adobe Lightroom Plugin for our service. Learn more about Jay and his various projects at myd3.com
