Located on the Arizona-Utah border just down the way from the famous four corners location, Monument Valley sits as one of the most iconic places in the United States. With Buttes that rise up over 1000 feet from the valley floor, the experience of being on these lands resonates through your bones from the moment it first appears on the horizon until you find yourself standing with your neck turned skyward staring straight up at the towering height of these magnificent geological structures. Monument Valley is in the heart of the Navajo Nation, and the power present in these sacred lands is unmistakable.
Join us for this 3-day meetup to explore these geological wonders comprised mainly of siltstone. We’ll explore the valley from varying heights and distances to learn how to bring the power of perspective to your images. Over three days, we should have the opportunity to explore the range of light as well as play with perspective as we hike and explore a variety of techniques in the field.
